She is Fierce: Brave, Bold and Beautiful Poems by Women

She is Fierce published in paperback in February 2020. In 2017 I went looking for a general, accessible collection of poems by women that would span centuries and include a variety of voices… but, although there were a few more niche or academic collections, there wasn’t one. So I fixed it! In the process I discovered some awesomely talented poets working now and many amazing overlooked and forgotten writers of the past. I researched the biographies of each one - from suffragettes, servants and Bluestockings to spoken word superstars - and included their stories in the book too.

It’s such a pleasure and a privilege to talk and write about these women and to know that people are enjoying the poems.
